OMG!!

I am having the hardest time just writing and not over-analyzing everything. I have this tendency to think that I should write a final copy the first time around and will literally sabotage myself into writer's block because of it. I am trying no to let it get the best of me this month but I am still struggling with just letting myself type and not worry about whether it is the appropriate thing for the character to say or think at that exact moment or if this scene should be before that scene..

anyway..just needed to vent!

Don't worry too much about it. As new writers, it's often difficult to just write and not attempt perfection the first time out. Understand that this is only your first draft; and you will have all the cold winter months ahead to fixate on the editing, moving scenes around and getting the character descriptions just right. What else would you possibly want to do when it's too cold to play outside!?! Wink

But really, just see this month as a wonderful opportunity to let your creativity shine. The party day is not far off - just think how much fun it will be to celebrate your writing stick-to-it-ness!!!

And now that you've vented, you can redirect your energy back to your writing! Laughing
